About Me

Hello there! I'm Allie, a passionate software engineer with a love for learning and sharing knowledge. This blog is my corner of the internet where I write about coding best practices, software development tips, and my personal experiences in the tech world. And maybe some book reviews where I share my key takeaways from what I've read!

With 10+ years in the industry, I've had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from small features to large enterprise applications. I believe in writing clean, maintainable code and am always eager to explore new technologies and methodologies.

I love mentoring and helping others grow in their careers. Mentorship has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my professional career, and I am so excited to start sharing my thoughts with a broader audience.

Through this blog, I hope to create a space where fellow developers can find useful insights, learn new skills, and have some good thoughts around software engineering philosophy. With that being said, I am always looking for feedback and would love to hear from you if there is a topic you'd like me to cover! Feel free to always reach out via the contact page.

Outside of software, I am an avid reader and enjoy exploring a wide range of topics, from horror novels to memoirs. I love discussing books and am always looking for good recommendations! To stay healthy, I enjoy lifting weights and taking long walks (where I generally bring an audiobook to accompany me).

I am a mother to two wonderful girls, who I am proud to be a role model for every day. I hope that my love of learning and curiosity inspires them to pursue their own passions and think critically about the world. I'm also a wife to an absolutely crazy recreational bodybuilder. He always inspires me to push my limits and is filled with passion and optimism. The world would be a better place with more people like him in it.

Thank you for visiting my blog! I hope you enjoy reading and find a few nuggets of knowledge to take away.
